Woodmont Middle School Receives National Recognition

For the first time in our history, Woodmont Middle School has been named a School to Watch by the @nationalforumschoolstowatch.

In South Carolina, there are currently 29 Schools to Watch, and nationally, there are just over 450 schools that have received this recognition. They are showcased throughout the state and the nation to promote best practices in education.

We are so proud to be a part of this group because our teachers and our students DESERVE this recognition. #WOODMONTROSEUP

Acadia’s Namesake

Our community, Acadia is named after the iconic Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island in Maine. This park was the creation of George Dorr, an original rusticator (today, we’d say “environmentalist”).
