Acadia Rescue Wildlife Release

In Acadia today, there were two wildlife releases: one, the Red-tailed Hawk, and the other, the Great Horned Owl. The hawk was injured and brought to PAWS Wildlife Sanctuary in Laurens County. The owl was a patient at the University of Georgia and once stable, brought to PAWS for final rehabilitation. Both were released in Acadia today thanks to the efforts of PAWS and the Acadia Community Foundation.

Woodmont Middle School Receives National Recognition

For the first time in our history, Woodmont Middle School has been named a School to Watch by the @nationalforumschoolstowatch. In South Carolina, there are currently 29 Schools to Watch, and nationally, there are just over 450 schools that have received this recognition. They are showcased throughout the state and the nation to promote best practices in education. We are so proud to be a part of this group because our teachers and our students DESERVE this recognition. #WOODMONTROSEUP Follow
